The central tasks of the federal state agency are the promotion of foreign trade and investment and location marketing. These two areas of activity, which have previously existed separately side by side, are now bundled in NGlobal under one roof. Like "Germany Trade and Invest" at the federal level, the federal state of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) now has its own central company devoted to the coordinated marketing of the location within Germany and abroad.

As a direct point of contact, NGlobal serves as a link to German and foreign companies. Through consultation and ongoing support measures, firms in Niedersachsen are assisted in gaining a foothold on the international market or in consolidating their already existing activities abroad. In addition to furthering trade show participation and strengthening inter-enterprise collaboration and joint ventures, the mission of the new company also includes building up and expanding worldwide networks.

One of the key goals of economic policy in Niedersachsen since 2003 has been internationalisation. NGlobal is now the right instrument to position Niedersachsen more effectively on the international market.
