YOUNG and OLD – Moving together into tomorrow's working world

May 3, 2010

"QualiMare" event on 11th May for the regional maritime economy in Wilhelmshaven

The workshop addresses companies from the integrated maritime economy, including those in the areas of port operations and logistics, shipbuilding and offshore technology, specialised service providers, shipping lines and ocean carriers, those working in hydraulic engineering and the fishing industry, and suppliers from the metal and electrical trades.

The event will be taking place on 11th May from 2 to 5 pm in the "Hotel am Stadtpark" in Wilhelmshaven.

Heiko Eibenstein, Managing Director of the company Hydraulik-Pneumatik-Kontor Jade GmbH, is a member of the working group on human resources development in the "QualiMare" project. Taking his company as an example, he will be pointing out how very profitable it is to respond and cater to the various needs of both younger and older members of staff. Those taking part can expect a workshop with a high degree of practical relevance and with many examples from the fields of work organisation, knowledge transfer and the sustainability of training measures, to mention only a few keywords that will be covered.

The "QualiMare" project is being carried out by the economic development company Wirtschaftsförderung Wesermarsch GmbH and is financially supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Niedersachsen state government. The objective is to build up a regional qualification network that helps maritime cluster companies overcome the problem of a lack of professional personnel. The Internet portal www.qualimare.de gives enterprises and training providers the opportunity to present themselves, communicate with one another, and network their activities. Please contact the person specified below to register your attendance for the event or to obtain further information.
