The Prize highlights and acknowledges exceptional achievement by Niedersachsen companies that have succeeded and established themselves worldwide on foreign markets and performed strongly in the face of international competition, thus creating employment in Niedersachsen.

The Foreign Trade Prize is mainly intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) but applications from large corporations are included in a special category and their achievements recognised. As the jury’s decision has been a very close run thing in previous years, companies are warmly invited to participate in the competition more than once.

The Prize will be awarded on 24 April 2012 by the Niedersachsen Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport Jörg Bode during the 9 th Niedersachsen Foreign Trade Day at HANNOVER MESSE 2012 (venue: Nord L/B Forum at Hannover Exhibition Grounds). The awards ceremony showcasing the winners and runners-up has become one of the highlights of this international foreign trade forum.

The jury, chaired by Niedersachsen’s former Minister for Economic Affairs Walter Hirche, is made up of representatives of NGlobal shareholders.
