The German regulation on working time has been complemented by the EU Directive for working time of professional drivers since September 1st, 2006. Still there can not be made any common statement about the extra costs that have been caused in companies through these working time regulations and digital tachographs. A correct cost analysis rather depends on the different operational conditions of drivers and distinctions of each transport sector.

During this information event the actual valid law will be compared to the regulations on driving time that have been enacted since April 11th, 2007.

Subsequently different chargings of costs will be presented on the basis of case studies. Furthermore the newest trends about data recording and storage within the implementation of digital tachographs will be shown.

The event will be organised by the BIG Bremen in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce Bremen and the National Association for Transport Industry (LVB e.V.). The event is part of the event series „Modern Transport and Logistic Management“.
