Enterprise Europe Network extended by another two years

March 4, 2011

Comprehensive services offered on EU issues

Europe opens up new chances for small and medium-sized enterprises in new markets. The economic development companies WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH and BIS Bremerhavener Gesellschaft für Investitionsförderung und Stadtentwicklung mbH have been awarded the contract by the European Commission for the next two years to be partners of the Enterprise Europe Network together with the think tank DD Die Denkfabrik Forschungs und Entwicklungs GmbH. As a result, they will be offering a comprehensive range of services to the business and scientific communities relating to EU issues and innovation promotion.

An extensive database is available to publicise product ideas or publish technology requests. Matchmaking events and cooperation exchanges staged at leading international trade shows enable international contacts to be made directly and in person. If desired, company trips are organised during which the customers and business partners of tomorrow can be met and access is provided to decision-makers. If the need exists, entrepreneurs are assisted in the selection of relevant investment funding and financial support programmes and given advice in the concrete formulation of project ideas. The collaboration with 500 network partners in more than 40 countries facilitates the search for international project partners.

A monthly newsletter provides an overview of current EU-related topics. It can be found at www.een-bremen.de.
