The web is absolutely essential these days – but companies can easily lose their way amidst the wide array of functions and legal requirements. For this reason, Bremen's Economic Development Company, WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH, is initiating the "Website Award Norddeutschland" for the fifth time running in collaboration with further partners in North Germany. Small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered in Bremen, Hamburg, Niedersachsen and Schleswig-Holstein with a staff of up to 250 and an annual turnover of up to 50 million euros are called upon to apply for the award with their Internet presence.

Applications can be submitted online from January 17th to February 28th, 2011. The award ceremony will take place on April 14th, 2011 in the Schuppen 2 Eventloft in Bremen.

Before entering the competition, applicants can carry out an online check (in German) to see if their website satisfies the key design, organisational, technical and legal requirements.
