Workshop on hydrogen in China

December 5, 2007

An Oldenburg engineering office is responsible for international training procedures.

The grey sky above Peking shows it: Road traffic with equal-zero-emission is an important subject for the 15 Million metropolis Peking and further chinese cities. At the end of October a workshop took place in Peking as part of the project HyFLEET:CUTE and in order to present the results of the use of busses with hydrogen drive system. The busses are operated in Peking, Perth (Western Australia) and 8 different European cities.

The Oldenburg engineering office PLANET is reponsible for all international training procedures during the project.

Primary concern of the workshop was to present the practical experience from HyFLEET:CUTE in expert circles. The presentation was not only focussed on technical results but also on the acceptance of the technology among residents and passengers and which themes need to be addressed by means of public relations. During the presentation Klaus Stolzenburg, director of PLANET, also responded to license and safety aspects. Furthermore he summarised recommendations for continuing education of employees. Numerous questions to the referents showed the big interest in the subject and the project.

The next workshop will take place in spring 2008 in Berlin.
